  • MadTown continues the season with a 16-0 record, going on to win the regional alongside our teammates, B.R.E.A.D (5940) & Unipards (6998)

 

Houston World Championships

  • Hopper Division – Industrial Design Award sponsored by General Motors
    • Awarded to the team that had the best modernly designed robot
  • Houston World Championship – Division Winners and World Champ Winners
    • MadTown Robotics went 15 – 0 in the Hopper Division and went 5 – 0 in the Einstein Field, going on to become WORLD CHAMPS! Team 1323 won alongside our alliance members, HighTide (4414), Ctrl-Z (4096), and BeaverworX (2609)

  • Monterey Bay Regional – Regional Winners
    • MadTown started the season with an 18-1 record going on to win the regional alongside our teammates, B.R.E.A.D. (5940) & Ragin’ C Biscuits (1280).

  • Monterey Bay Regional – Quality Award
    • Celebrates machine robustness in concept and fabrication.
  • Central Valley Regional – Regional Winners
    • MadTown continues the season with a 19-1 record, going on to win the regional alongside our teammates, Greybots (973) & Uni-Rex (5817).

  • Central Valley Regional – Autonomous Award sponsored by Ford
    • Celebrates the team that has demonstrated consistent, reliable, high-performance robot operation during autonomously managed actions. Evaluation is based on the robot’s ability to sense its surroundings, appropriately position itself or onboard mechanisms, and execute tasks.

 

  • Houston World Championship- Division Winners

 

  • Central Valley Regional – Regional Winners
    • MadTown started the season with a 16-0 record going on to win the regional alongside our teammates, Citrus Circuits (1678) & Sleuth Robotics (7663).

  • Central Valley Regional – Autonomous Award sponsored by Ford
    • Celebrates the team that has demonstrated consistent, reliable high performance during match autonomous periods. Evaluation is based on the robot’s ability to sense its surroundings, position itself within the field, and plan and execute tasks.

  • Sacramento Regional – Regional Winners
    • Team 1323 won the regional alongside our alliance members, Citrus Circuits (1678) and Wolfpack Robotics (3859). Ending the competition with a 15-0 record with an overall record of 31-0 for the season.

  • Sacramento Regional – Quality Award sponsored by Motorola Solutions Foundation
    • Awarded to the team who builds the best robot both visually and mechanically.

  • Newton Division – Industrial Design Award sponsored by General Motors
    • Awarded to the team that had the best modernly designed robot
  • Houston World Championship – Division Winners and World Champ Winners
    • MadTown Robotics went 14 – 3 in the Newton Division and went 6 – 2 in the Einstein Field, going on to become WORLD CHAMPS! Team 1323 won alongside our alliance members, The Greybots (973), Iron Panthers (5026), & The Vitruvian Bots (4201).

  • Sacramento Regional – Regional Winners
    • Team 1323 won the regional alongside our alliance members, Citrus Circuits (1678) and Duncan Dynamics (3970). Finishing the competition with a 14-0 record.

  • Sacramento Regional – Industrial Design Award sponsored by General Motors
    • Awarded to the team that construct an efficiently designed machine that effectively addresses the game challenge.
  • Central Valley Regional – Regional Winners
    • MadTown Robotics won the competition in first place with alliance members, Citrus Circuits (1678), and Rio Robotics (4698). While also adding to our win-streak going 18-0, extending the streak to 32-0.

    • Central Valley Regional – Quality Award sponsored by Motorola Solutions Foundation
      • Awarded to the team who builds the best robot both visually and mechanically.
    • Houston Championship – Roebling Division Winners:
      • Team 1323 took the division alongside our alliance members: Code Orange (3476), Harker Robotics (1072), and Chill Out (1778). Ending up with a 15-1 record: ending our win-streak.

    • Houston Championship – Autonomous Award sponsored by Ford:
      • Celebrates the team that has demonstrated consistent, reliable high performance during match autonomous periods. Evaluation is based on the robot’s ability to sense its surroundings, position itself within the field, and plan and execute tasks.
    • Houston Championship – Einstein Division:
      • With our first ever appearance on the Einstein field, going up against the other sub-division winners, we went on to place fourth overall with a record of 2-3. Finishing the season with a final record of 49-4.

  • Central Valley Regional – Regional Engineering Inspiration Award
    • Awarded to the team who best helps advance and spark a respect for the world of engineering not only inside their school, but their community as well.

    • Awarded to the team who builds the best robot both visually and mechanically.

  • Capital City Classic – Innovation in Controls
    • Awarded to the team whose software most seamlessly complements their robot, and boosts its performance.
  • MadTown ThrowDown – Competition Winners

  • Sacramento Regional – Innovation in Control Award sponsored by Rockwell Automation
    • Awarded to the team that has an innovative control system or application of control components – electrical, mechanical or software – to provide unique machine functions.

  • St. Louis Championship: Tesla Division – Subdivision Finalist
    • MadTown were finalist in the Tesla Division along the side of Alliance captain TORC (2137), HVA RoHAWKtics (3824), and WiredCats (2415).
  • MadTown ThrowDown – Finalist
  • Central Valley Regional – Finalist
    • MadTown finished second with alliance members Buchanan Bird Brains (1671) and Duncan Dynamics (3970).
  • Central Valley Regional – Dean’s List Finalist: Elias Avila
    • Awarded to those who are exemplary examples of current student leaders who have lead their team and community to increased awareness for FIRST and its mission, while achieving personal technical expertise and accomplishments.
  • Silicon Valley Regional – Imagery Award in honor of Jack Kamen
    • Awarded to those who celebrates attractiveness in engineering and outstanding visual aesthetic integration of machine and team appearance.
  • St. Louis Championship: Curie Division – Industrial Design Award sponsored by General Motors
    • Awarded to the team that celebrates form and function in an efficiently designed machine that effectively addresses the game challenge.
  • Central Valley Regional – Chairman’s Award
    • Awarded to honor the team that best represents a model for other teams to emulate and best embodies the purpose and goals of FIRST.
  • Central Valley Regional – FIRST Dean’s List Finalist: Gurtinder Chahal
    • Awarded to those who are exemplary examples of current student leaders who have lead their team and community to increased awareness for FIRST and its mission, while achieving personal technical expertise and accomplishments.
  • Central Valley Regional – Engineering Inspiration Award
    • Awarded for outstanding success in advancing respect and appreciation for engineering within a team’s school or organization and community.
  • Central Valley Regional – Woodie Flowers Finalist Award: Ranjit Chahal
    • Awarded to recognizes an individual who has done an outstanding job of motivation through communication while also challenging the students to be clear and succinct in their communications.
